Legal authorities have stated that a former doctor has been charged with performing sexual assaults against thirty-eight victims who were patients.
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous sexual offences – including acts against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.
One deputy chief prosecutor stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
These allegations follow what police described as a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
