Loyal supporters of Ariana Grande are urging that a man who jumped a barrier and seized the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or deported from Singapore.
A circulating clip shows the Australian man pushing past photographers and lunging at Grande while the cast walked down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.
Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the event by event staff.
Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being arrested", though court documents revealed that he was set to appear on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.
This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last December.
"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is evidently a legal violation," stated an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.
"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user questioned.
Several fans accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many.
"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another message on Instagram.
Several attendees also criticised guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while others demanded digital services to remove Mr Wen's content.
In clips circulating online, Grande appeared shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.
Grande has not commented on the event, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.
Many of attendees had assembled in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it began.
The movie, to be released on November 21, is the follow-up of a dual version of the well-known theatrical show Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected bond between two contrasting sorceresses.
The production itself is a derivative of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a light pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.
They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.
The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of 2024 in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, earning several for outstanding attire and set decoration.
